About Ricky Gervais

A man of many talents, Mr Gervais has become one of the most successful UK comedians earning respect and recognition the world over. Born in Reading, he graduated with a degree in Philosophy, was part of a band called Seona dancing, went onto presenting on the radio before meeting Steve Merchant who became his co-writer developing the award winning sitcom The Office.

Soon after he went on a stand up tour with ‘Animals’ followed by ‘Politics’ and then released his second sitcom ‘Extras’, with the second series on the way. Somewhere along the way he picked up the spherical headed Karl Pilkington and released The Ricky Gervais Show Podcast, currently running its second series.

Ricky Gervais Timeline

Unlike me, Mr Gervais cannot have his life summed up in 2 paragraphs so rather then write out a biography ( there are many out there ), I’ve decided on producing a timeline of his life so far.
